Laura Anderson
Laura is the Engagement Project Manager at the Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions. Her primary focus is research and policy communication, supporting the COS team and partners in communicating research insights in policy settings. She was previously a Communications Associate for the Blue Food Assessment, a collaboration with the Center for Ocean Solutions and Center on Food Security and the Environment at Stanford University, Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University, and EAT.
In addition to her role at COS, Laura has consulted for the World Economic Forum’s Blue Food Partnership to support the writing and launch of its Global Sustainable Aquaculture Roadmap. She also worked with the Seattle Aquarium as an Ocean Policy Assistant, Environmental Defense Fund Oceans program as a Schneider Fellow, and NOAA Ocean Acidification Program as a Hollings Undergraduate Scholar. Laura graduated from Stanford in 2021 with an M.A. in Earth Systems and a B.S. in Biology. In her free time, she loves going hiking, cheering on the Washington Nationals and running alongside bodies of water.
