*Postponed* WAN Networking: COAL + ICE Exhibit

  • The Kennedy Center 2700 F Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20566 United States (map)

This event was postponed by the Kennedy Center due to weather. We will reschedule when we can.

Join WAN in touring the COAL + ICE exhibit at the REACH at the Kennedy Center. COAL + ICE is a documentary photography exhibition that brings together the work of over 50 photographers and video artists from around the world to visualize the climate crisis – its causes and consequences – as a large-scale immersive experience.

The plan will be an hour to walk through the exhibit, then another 30-45 minutes of conversation and networking with fellow participants.

Thursday, April 14

6:00 - 7:30 PM ET

The event is FREE for all attendees. Information about where the tour will start will come closer to the date, so don't forget to register to be kept in the loop. All visitors (kids and significant others) are welcome to join too!

More about the Exhibit

The exhibition runs from March 15-April 22 at the Kennedy Center’s REACH Plaza in Washington, D.C. Free and open to the public, this large-scale immersive experience includes a documentary photography exhibition and six-week programming series. COAL + ICE visually traces the trajectory of climate change — from coal mines to the melting Himalayan glaciers, rising sea level and extreme weather events — bringing the environmental and human costs of climate change to life through images, videos and thought-provoking events.
